The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance reported that for every 100 hunter lost 109 took their place, in New Hampshire. This is a Hunter Replacement Ratio of 1.09(New hunters per 1 hunter lost).
The sport is not so solid in other parts of the nation though. The national ratio is 0.69 new hunters per hunter lost. The state statistics support the conclusion that states with restrictive, long, and/or expensive hunter education programs are losing hunters. In Michigan only 0.26 hunters replace every hunter lost.
"In response NSSF, NWTF, and USSA have created a program called Families Afield." The program encourages the abolition of regulations that mandate certain age requirement and/or hunter education for children, so long as they are supervised by an adult.

Just one more exaple of regulation's detriments.

Will the animals take over if we lose too many hunters?

Wouldn't you say that if you were dead you would be told old to hunt?
