I am worried something really bad's going to happen in order to get the patriot act renewed.? In that case, we have what a month?

The Patriot Act is just a step along the path to dictatorship. Harsher laws are coming.

There seems to be new bad stuff all the time from the patriot act.

Quote from: Lex Berezhny on January 16, 2006, 11:39 PM NHFTThey could so easily confiscate food at that point. I have relatives who died in the Ukrainian famine when the Soviets did it. They basically just took all the food and promised to reration it, nobody got anything back...

I managed to set my mind at ease on this issue by buying a copy of "Edible Wild Plants, A North American Field Guide", by Thomas S. Elias and Peter A. Dykeman and acting upon the information in the book. The woods and fields of New Hampshire can provide you with a veritable all-you-can-eat buffet that is healthful, delicous, and free if only you will seek it out. Quiet time spent with nature is also nourishment for the soul, I've found.

Many of you are probably chuckling at this idea, but this might change once the economic and/or political chickens come home to roost, probably sooner rather than later.  :-\

My daughter and I were looking in to that sort of thing.  Didn't get a book, but watched a couple of movies on the subject.
