What would happen if the state just stopped paying federal taxes?

Or, what if we took the amount the state gets back from the feds and subtracted it from the taxes sent to the feds, this way there won't be a round trip and thus the control the feds have over the state would be reduced. For example, take this years amount we got back from the feds and subtract it from next years tax payment. This would be a more gradual way of doing it, of course not paying fed taxes at all would be best   >:D

The states don't pay federal taxes.  The feds pay the states.

I like you plan but I don't think it will happen in the next 20 years.

If the State government would suport people who didn't pay their taxes it would make sense. Or if we had widespread jury nullification for when the feds dragged individuals to court it would make sense.

In the mean time, the sooner we can get out from under the thumb of federal entitlement the more likely the varous state and local governments will help chase out IRS and DOJ thugs when they come after us.
