Yes. Looking like a good potential crowd forming.

That was fun.  We didn't have many apples this year, but I had a good time.

I will have 5 peoples riding with me.

Thanks for the ride.  :)

The word of the day was elephant. ;D

In all the confusion,  I never asked if the topic was African Elephants or Indian Elephants.  Silly me, I feel like such a Dumbo.

I DID see a real live Malaysian Tiger dog though, which shouldn't be confused with an Indonesian Tiger dog or the fake Chinese Tiger dogs which will soon flood our markets.      ;D

Jim Johnson

Ooooh... you make porcel'n Chinese Tiger dog!

so what all happened?

Well for one thing, Graffy never showed.

Something about too hot and he needed to stay near water etc.  You have no idea how hard ancient dragon type dialects are to understand.  So, I'm kind of paraphrasing.

so what all happened?

The weather was excellent, sunny, 79 with a very lite breeze.
We ground a pressed a bushel of apples, which yielded 2 1/2 gallons of cider.
Three groups of people stopped by for apple pie, but there wasn't any apple pie.
The apple cakes where very good.
Raffled: Home made soap, a gallon of apple cider, 3 bags of apples, and a hair cut.
The younger folks played Frisbee, rode bikes, used the swing set and took walks.
Older folks did what older folks do.
There was hamburgers, corn chowder and coleslaw for purchase.
Lloyd and his toys where there.

 ;D
Thank for that report, Jim.

not only did I miss the Grafton Apple Festival, but I am pretty much missing fall colors this year. We only got some out west ... just not the same.

Bump. No pictures yet. Hmm.

Nothing worth shooting John.

Always good to catch up with friends.

Kind of low turnout, no baking contest... not enough entrees, Becky's French apple cakes were good as well as Barbara's and someone else's offerings, very little apple pressing.

Enjoyed looking at the artwork on the parking lot.  :)
