Hey ... don't knock tax collectors!

Sam Adams was a tax collector ... he forgave people their tax debts.  Since it was an elected position at the time, the people just kept electing him.   ;D

About time. Diesel-electric hybrids have been used for train locomotives for over 80 years, and in submarines since before WWI. Hybrids are better suited for large applications like trucks, where any weight penalty is minimal, than for passenger cars.

If they go to hub motors for AWD and all-wheel regenerative braking, they'll really be getting somewhere!
