I think that everyone on this board should read the Declaration of Independence.
I haven't read it in some time.
Something Russell posted prompted me to read it again.  Enlightening!

People here who are so hot on the constitution should note this part: 

"that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness"

Our rights don't come from the government or from the constitution.  They are inherent in us as human beings.  A government which gives rights could and would take them away.  The constitution restricts the government, it doesn't give us rights.
