where to find rentals??

I'm relocating to NH fairly soon.  Trying to find a place before I get up there and wondering if anyone has tips on where to look for house/apartment rentals in southern NH.  I'm coming from GA and down here the best way is to just drive around and find 'for rent' signs on houses.  is this the case in NH or is everything through realtors?

Thanks!

Mike Fisher is looking to rent out rooms to incoming porcupines.

Hope that helps!

thanks for the link.  i actually need my own place.  i have an 85lb dog who can be a handful and is best in his own, fairly quiet environment!

BTW, you might talk to Mike Fisher or Ron Helwig about places to land while you look for your own place.  It's awfully hard to locate a home from long distance.

Have you signed the First1000 pledge?

What town(s) are you looking in?  There are some small local papers that have rental info.

Stay away from the Cheney Company in the seacoast area.  I had a lot of problems with them once, they are difficult to deal with and have a unique definition of reasonable terms and closeout procedures when you want to stop renting.

Besides dog friendly, what else are you looking for?

Why southern NH?

Deerfield is pretty nice  :D
There's also some interesting places available. I've seen some For Rent signs while doing progress checks on my house. There's also a place I've seen on 107 that has 5 acres and septic - seems ready to build.

I'm currently renting in Hampton Beach - damn near right on the beach.

OMG! I have a shot of my Border with a stick, just like that when she was about 12 weeks old.
