well...watch the new series then!  LOL  Maybe I should have said *spoilers* in the title to the thread...

I think the Love triangles make perfect sense, to anyone who has been involved in a tightly wound time consuming activity.  Come on Thespis, you're in theatre, you know how it can get, being with the same group constantly, with emotions high.  Add to that the tragedies that these poor confused characters live with.  Simple is not an option.  But one triangle did get simpler last week  >:D :'(

On the other hand, the flow, from ep to ep, has seemed somewhat disjointed.

But the show has my favorite thing from before, not 'photon torpedoes' just nice, honest 'nukes in space.'

Thespis

I've got nothing against love triangles. My thing was that a couple of them seemed to come out of nowhere just to set up a major plotline. While the thing with D and Apollo was started a few episodes before, it just seemed to come out left field. D was totally into Billy, never even looked at Apollo, until suddenly during a workout. Yeah, I know stuff can come out of nowhere, but I think it could have been done less clumsily.

And really, I only have issues with the Apollo triangles (rectangles? octagons?), because it seems like he's got a new love interest each week.

Exactly, this could have been done far more gracfully.  It just seems contrived for the most part.  D was introduced a bit awhile ago, but suddenly, without seeing it develope she's off Billy and onto Apollo.  Huh??  Just needed more time to develope I think.

Have I mentioned this show rocks?  Do you guys like the soundtrack at all?  I've got some of it playing here at work.  Blends right in with the wine, Honest!

I don't really remember the soundtrack, which I guess is good since if I could remember it that would imply that it is getting in the way.

Don't much like the triangles myself.

Can't get enough Sharon though  :D

I'm not quite sure about her yet...what I think is funny is that it seems that everybody thinks that the Boomer they all knew was like killed and replaced by a Cylon, which is never the impression that I got.  It always seems to me that she was similar to Number Six, she came in fully cylon and lived with them for a long time, then her programing kicked in.  So the Boomer they knew was the same Boomer.  The Sharon they have now though, is NOT the same person.  I don't trust her at ALL!  Anybody have any ideas on that one?

The tricky part IMHO is that the "new" Sharon was alive when the "old" Sharon was, so how could the new one have the memories of the old one?
I am waiting for the new Sharon to "betray" the admiral.

They're both phrakkin gorgeous though.

I do believe that it was established at some point that the Cylons are linked to each other. I think. I might be wrong, but I think they also have to be in close proximity to other Cylons, though.

When one cylon dies, it's memories go into a new model, so yes, the do share some stuff.  It would appear that the Boomer cylon and the Sharon cylon share the same memories up until the attack.  The difference being, one knew it was a cylon, the other did not, which is what makes Boomer so cool.

There is a song on the second soundtrack, Battlestar Opratica, that is too good for words.  It sounds like a normal Italian opera song, but the translation to the lyrics are just too good.

Woe upon your Cylon heart
There's a toaster in your head
And it wears high heels

Number 6 calls to you
The Cylon Detector beckons
Your girlfriend is a toaster

Woe upon your Cylon heart
Alas, disgrace! Alas, sadness and
misery!

The toaster has a pretty red dress
Red like its glowing spine
Number Six whispers
By Your Command

Thespis

Yes, but the memories are downloaded into a new body, not distributed among all Cylons, so the question is how the Sharon on Galactica now can have the memories of the now dead Sharon when she is not the next incarnation of the Sharon that shot Adama. She's a completely different Sharon. That's why I think they're linked, because that's the only way two Sharons that were alive at the same time could share the same memories.

But, I think the link can be turned off by individual Cylons, and it doesn't have a long range.

I think they can be.  They haven't explained that one yet, but we know there are two Number Sixes in the fleet, and I assume they not only know about eachother but probly do communicate.  The theory is sound.

There's speculation that the Pegasus won't stick around with the Galactica too long, and going from the teaser for tonight's episode, this might be when the ship goes off on its own. Also, I just read that the actor playing the current commander of the Pegasus (The guy who took over after that one guy was killed) is currently here in Chicago performing in a show at the Goodman Theatre. So, one way or another, he won't be on the series much longer.

I think that was part of the original plotline, that the Pegases went off on their own to fight the cylons, but it was at the end of that episode I think.  I don't know for sure, so that's not too suprising.  Not only does it give them a way to get rid of that plot complication, but it also gives them a way to please the old school fans.  I wouldn't mind the loss of the Pegasas myself, it didn't add a whole lot after the death of Kane and I like the Galactica being the only battle ship.  IMHO

*sigh*  It never fails, something always seems to happen so I miss BSG on Friday and have to watch it on Monday instead.  The power is out at the house, a couple of BIG trees fell down and pulled down the lines.  Pooh!
