Frankly, it was a fairly spontaneous decision to run; I had not been planning to do so and had no great desire to be on the Board.  I so clearly remember Elizabeth's response when once asked to rejoin the board: "I'd rather chew off my right arm."  But I do think running was the right thing to do.  I'm a firm believer in "if ya don't vote, quit bitching".  I (along with several others) repeatedly complained about the lack of Board elections, and I have done my share of publicly criticizing Boardmembers.  Guess if I'm gonna make some heat, I better accept an opportunity to get in the kitchen (or something).
