Okay, I'm officially a web mogul. I now own two domains. Woohooo!

The first is my fraternity chapter's alumni site. Nothing but a splash page and phpBB forum. The second is Mary's, where she's going to move her blog after we develop the content. Yes, she'll be mary@verycontrary.com.  ;D

etasigma.org is on hostingbegin, and verycontrary.com is on godaddy.

Hostingbegin was much easier and faster to sign up, and as a newbie, I had a lot more confidence in the process. Godaddy's sign up process deluges you with options to buy more packages. Each page was so busy, it was hard to pick out the stuff you need to see, from the stuff you want to ignore.

I chose Godaddy for Mary's site because hostingbegin's porn warning was a bit too dire for me. Not that there will ever be anything even slightly pornographic on her site, but she does engage in some four-letter rants. Hostingbegin's usage agreement specifies that they can yank your service for anything pornographic or obscene, and they're the sole arbiters of what violates the standard.

Both are linux accounts.

Isn't HostingBegin a gas? I LOVE them. I have 100 sites there.
