Numbered list problem

2) When you think of one or two things to mention.
3) Or maybe three or four things.
4) Then you really get on a roll and more items pop into your head.
5) More than five items.
6) You are cookin' with gas and you think of seven or eight items.
7) Serious and profound things, then
Number eight comes out funny.
