Not a problem for me. So long as there's an alternative, including walking, I'll never have EZpass. We don't have toll roads where I live now, and when I get to NH I plan to live up north. Should I temporarily lose my mind and decide to visit Boston, I'd prefer the two-lanes anyway.

A visit is ok Kevin.

Lots of Revolutionary War history there.

I know, and our education in history includes visiting as many sites as possible, and learning what happened there, and why. We'll be visiting, I'm sure. Plus, we'll have to attend at least one game at Fenway.

I have to really hold my nose before venturing into such enemy territory, no matter what happened there 230 years ago.

There is a great walking tour of downtown Boston called the Freedom trail.
When I was a kid I would take the T into Boston and walk it for hours.

So what happens if I drive right through an EZ-pass toll and my license plate can't be read?

Because I did that yesterday just south of Hooksett... twice.

One of the ladies on this forum, when they started to shut down the exact change lanes started going thru the EZ Pass lanes abd throwing the correct change at the wall.

Wasn't somebody also throwing the tokens?

Fortunately it's easy to get around some of the toll booths by getting off at the exits before them, taking back roads, and getting back on after the toll booths.  ;D

A lady threw her tokens at a tollbooth attendant, but I don't know if that's what you mean.  ;D

I once threw my tokens at the tollbooth attendant when he took too long to put his hand out and my cruise control linkage had broken, holding the throttle wide open, not allowing me to stop with brake pressure alone.  That was kind of scary.

I went through that toll again yesterday, coming back from CT!

They were going through each tollbooth and putting up orange cones. 93 south was jammed from the toll to the liquor store (at least a mile!) and north was slowing down. The guy put a cone IN MY LANE when I was pulling up so I went right into the other exact change lane and tossed my coins in. 3 pennies.  :icon_pirat:

Never found out if it turned green, as I was going kinda quick, and I floored it outta there to avoid the impending traffic jam.
Ended up cruising a smooth 80-90MPH the whole way home.
