Be *very* careful as some swamplands were sold to unsuspecting people in the FSP recently...

How far away do you live? Maybe you should visit the land.
I don't think we can tell if it is decent from a real estate ad.
Hillsboro seems like a nice place to me ..... and not to far from here. :)

Can't you still build on swamp land property? It'll just cost you more and will require a lot more preping and engineering... If you really like the land and the view and you plan on living their your whole life it might be worth it.

Hillsboro has an unusually hi proportion of businesses that accept Liberty Dollars, becuase Fred Davediet is from there and used to be the NORFED regional currency officer.   He's a good person to know in liberty circles, I think he is also the Jail for Judges guy.  I assume he's still there but don't know.

Hillsboro also has a rep as being pretty libertarian or conservative; I like the look of the town....a little weathered but in a dignified way.  It makes me feel like I'm in the old New Hampshire even though I'm not 100% sure what the old New Hampshire was like!   Location is good too since you are not far from the many free stater activities in concord and manch.

Well just be careful because Estelle was UNABLE TO BUILD and that was a done deal. If the lot does not meet septic requirements and you don't have a means of solving that problem, such as another lot next to it that is dry, then you are stuck.

I like Hillsboro.
I would highly recommend you walk the land.

This property is in Emerald Lake Village District. This is the same village where Estelle bought her property. The address of the double lot is 97 & 99 Ravenhead. Look it over before you buy.

Holy Cow! She was the victim of a scam, not to mention they wrongly raised the assessment from $1,200 to $56,000!!!!!!!!!

Stay away from Emerald Lake!   :o

Thanks for all the good advice. That's kind of why I posted it, the price seemed a bit too good. I've just started looking at land up there.

I bet there are many people that are happy in that neighborhood, you just have to check it out.
