Let the joyous news be spread
The wicked charges at last are dead!

Ding Dong the charges are dropped,
Police's bag of hot air popped.

Caleb and I had pitchforks and some Manchester bicycle cops pulled us out of the metal detector line and took them away.
"You can't go in a courtroom with those.  There are scared victims and witnesses in that building."
But you can go in with your gun?  "Yes! There is a LAW that lets us.  We aren't scaring people, we are protecting them".   (I'm guessing more of the people in visiting the courthouse have been terrified by police than composters.)

Meanwhile Tim was checking in four firearms at the desk. :icon_pirat:

Did anyone get pictures?

Russell Kanning

It all happened so fast....but maybe video. :)

Best news of the day!!!! Now Kat can stop worrying and saying, "If I'm not in jail"!

Kat Kanning

It's hard to make plans for the future with something like that hanging over your head.

What a terrific group of folks... Kat and Russell for facing down the unknown with fine composure... Caleb and Lauren you guys cracked me up walking in with those pitchforks... Defender of Liberty for handing over his armaments. ;D John and Aaron for the flags and everybody who took time out of their busy lives to show solidarity. Those people at the Courthouse were not ready for us, I bet we were the topic of conversation at lunch. ;D

One of the best shindigs I've been to with the NHunderground... we are developing our 'esprit de corps'.

I am damn proud to stand by any of ya'll... Semper Fidelis.

Lauren, Bill, and I were nearly arrested on the spot for "standing on the sidewalk" when we were supposed to be "walking back and forth."
What? ???

When we all got up to leave as the charges were dropped against Kat and Russell, the exact quote someone in the back row (who had only 2 people with him) said sarcastically was:

"Now THAT'S what you call moral support!"

After it was over, one of us was nearly arrested and/or nearly had his guns confiscated for violated some non-existent "city ordinance" that doesn't allow you to check your firearms at the door in a courthouse. 2 or 3 police officers descended on him.

We have an ace up our sleeve on that one, however.  ;)

Congratulations, Kat and Russell.  8)

Ha! I'm dying to hear a complete account of what went on in the courtroom, but I'd love to hear the details on that little interaction, too.
