I absolutely support free speech, and condemn the prosecution of Kat and Russell.

But, please remember that this is not a Bush phenomenon. Also worth reading:

The problem is not who is in office; it's overwhelming power waiting to be abused by whomever is in charge.

For a good reminder of the abuses of the Clinton administration.

I will try to get there early.  I made 8 hand fans with various statements on them that say things like "I support free speech.", "Why is carrying signs a defacto crime in Manchester?" and RSA 92:2, as well as some supporting case law.  Anyone who wants one can have one, until I run out.  Unfortunately my printer stopped working last night while I was making them.  I also have some FIJA brochures that anyone standing outside can hand out if they wish.  I will probably be checking in a few handguns, and possibly a sword at the door.  :P  I hope we can fill the courtroom.

Good News:     Charges were dropped.  I willl let others fill in the details.

I am happy to say that over 25 people showed up to support K & R.  I think that is great!!!

As an avowed atheist, it is especially rare that I am moved to say this, but now is one of those times:

Thank God

John

When we learned that charges were dropped and we all walked out of the courtroom together, someone was heard saying: "Now that's a lot of support."   8)

Just a bunch of friends standing together . . .  ;)

Dropped by the prosecutor (good) or dismissed by the judge (great)?

Can't wait to hear the full details!

Dropped by whoever, and apology given (best!).

Way to go, everyone!

Wow, excellent!  Had to work, but wish I could have been friend #26.

Wow, God answered my prayers for once.

It was so great to drive up to the courthouse and see all those people there.  Thanks so much for coming today!  I think it will help them think a little about doing it again, since it turned out to be a hassle for them, dealing with protesters and all.

Tim checking in his arsenal was hilarious....and the pitchforks sounded like it turned out well, too, though I didn't see it.

Since they didn't let us know ahead of time that the charges were dropped, then I have to assume that the prosecuter gave up when he saw the crowd of free speech advocates. :)
