Fluff and Stuff

The IRS is not a govt agency?

It is a common claim.  People also claim that the Post Office and Federal Reserve are not government agencies.

I've never looked into these issue because I don't understand how these issues improve freedom.

The post office (and perhaps the fed and the IRS) are supposed to operate independantly of the federal government's control.  The P.O. because it generates all its revenue from stamp sales. The IRS because they steal all the money you earn, and the Fed by extending credit to smaller banks and driving your mortgage loan rate up.

However this does not make it independant of the government's control, merely less pressure can be applied to the office in question because its operating budget is not controlled by government spending.

So they are still government agencies.

You can argue about the legality of paying taxes but the IRS is a division of the Treasury.

The FED, however, is totally private. And with all the control they have over our monetary system, consequentially, they have the most control over our lives. Plus, unless the FED is repealed, there will forever be a need for the income tax (it allows government to engage in deficit-spending). Most people, however, would just ask for the 16th amendment to be ratified properly and then we're back to square one again. Since the bankers are thoroughly entrenched, it's going to take a mass movement to reclaim liberty. Unless the FSP is eventually interested in secession, then we'll be at the federal government's mercy.

So ... after watching that video, how many of you decided to stop paying federal income taxes?

Or to continue not paying...   ;)

If you can prove that Dreepa you'll be the first.

The IRS is a private corporation, not a true US company.  It's not even incorporated within the borders of the US.

Of course you can choose not to believe them  ;)

The GAO supplies a budget number under the wing of the Treasury but there is no itemized accounting of the IRS. They subcontract to Treasury as the collection arm of the Federal Reserve System. The Fed won't even say how much money they are printing anymore. M3 vanished last week.

I'm certainly considering it.

Many people assume that this will allow the fed to inflate the money supply even faster without being noticed. An interesting contrarian view, though, is that the fed is getting ready to pull the plug and allow a massive deflation to take place.

Good point law, it could happen, and monkeys might fly out of my butt! :D ;)

Did the Fed raise interest rates again today? ???

No particular part. The movie as a whole made me feel physically ill and understand that the U.S. is in even worse shape than I had realized.  I think the quotes from the New World Orderers, and the judges who proclaimed "I am the law" were the worst parts.  And what Katherine said about the new "No Chicken Left Behind" law afterwards was pretty freaking creepy, too.

The Fed, strictly speaking, cannot control how much money they print.  They are legally obligated to take on whatever debt the Congress throws their way, which they then proceed to monetize.  (It gets complicated, because they also monetize debt from foreign countries, which I suppose they DO have some control over, as their is no law that they MUST.  Still, the bulk of our money supply is monetized from the U.S. National Debt.)

Since the Congress just voted to raise the cap on the National Debt ... I seriously doubt they are trying to contract the money supply.

And that wouldn't jive either with their history since 1913 of trying to destroy the dollar.

What about the judge who stormed out of the courtroom when he didn't like the "not guilty" verdict?

If one of the defense attorneys or one of the accused stormed out of the courtroom because they didn't like the verdict, he would be held in contempt of court.  Who do these judges think they are, anyway?  They are supposed to be impartial, and merely navigate the proceedings ... not actively work for a desired verdict.
