Hey it is such nice weather....we need to do a street protest quick ;)

candyvynwak

But instead of protesting something, let's do the opposite and encourage something... would that be called a con-test (as opposed to a pro-test)?   ::)

That is very strange... pro usually means GOOD and con, bad....

But anyway... a CONTEST sounds GREAT!

JP

P.S. Pro is to Con as Progress is to Congress. ;)

I should have said "lets hold an outdoor event" quick ....while the sun is shining. :)

Hey! I was JUST thinking the same thing, Russ.......

How bout a "yes on 4" event to promote the warrant article Karl Hecker has to sell 34 West?

JM

Kat Kanning

Great!  The warrant article is in, then?  Let's do it!

If Article 4 is approved, AND Article 5 goes down, there willl be a property tax refund in Keene........

LOWER YOUR TAXES!!!!
YES ON 4
NO ON 5!!!!!

JM

Kat Kanning

Is there somewhere we can read the warrant articles?

Russell Kanning

How about in front of the building in question?
"I want my money back"
"yes on 4"
"Sell this building"
"Sell this building for the children"

AlanM

Maybe we could protest protesting. I don't think it's been done before has it? Originality. That's the meaning of life. The other meaning is the number 27.

We might someday protest the protestors like Bureaucrash. 8)

Hm.... You should have gotten taxpayer-funded advertising from the KSD about the warrant articles and how they want you to vote....  ::)

In short.....

Article 1: Shall the school district get the $49 Mill they want (if not, they get $48.5)  ::)

2: Shall the district create a non-taxpayer supprted fund to continue working with SW Educational Support Center (noj-taxpayer funded), to train more teachers?

3: Shall they have the power to purchase buildings and lands next to current property without haveing to wait for a special March vote like this one?
<This one comes up every year, and gets voted down. Again. NO NO NO!>

4: Should the SAU be forced to sell their building, freeing up ~$1M?
<Karl Hecker's warrant article>

5: IF 4 is passed, should the SAU spend the money on pet projects?
<If voted down, the $1M is returned to the taxpayers of Keene>

I'm thinking we could rally for Yes on 4, NO on 5.... :D

How about a sign out front of the building:
"For sale by owners" 8)
