And we saw you driving .... under the influence of an operation ...... there ought to be a law!

SocialDemocrat

There, this should work...hate it when I go through Sean's...he's got everything hooked up in this shop under his "happy dude." Enough.

I'm sorry I "stunk up" Ian's entire reading experience. It happens. Me bad.

In other news, the dissenters discussed the KFP at their monthly meeting...at Marco Palo, Second thursday, 6 PM if memory service...they tend towards the left side....Arpad, F Moriarty, Tilton,...but they are dissenters so might be worth a visit with them...

In yet more news...The Large Puppet Theater, of which I play a part---my fav is working the Bush puppet with the wobbly head....man, I got that down!....----may do a public appearence the same day the funeral for the Constitution is held...Seems a lot is going on across the nation that day...See you uptown, on that day!

Social Democat (hopefully not Happy D)

It bugs me that it's there, but I'm most irritated about it not being labled for what it is like the first time Lindsey's trash appeared.

Good god Man. Get a life will you. ::) ::) He has the right to his speech just like you do. And if you can stand the heat in the kitchen. Go pout in the closet..

I do not always agree with Lindsey on all issues. But the bottom line is he is a great guy. and he is intitled to his opinions just like you.

I must have misplaced mine...

QuoteHe has the right to his speech just like you do.
Of course he does.  I never suggested otherwise.  However one does not have a right to free speech on private property.  The KFP is private property, and the owners can set the rules for who gets to speak.

QuoteAnd if you can stand the heat in the kitchen. Go pout in the closet..
Did it look like I couldn't stand the heat?  I wrote a rebuttal.

QuoteI do not always agree with Lindsey on all issues. But the bottom line is he is a great guy.
I'm sure he is, I get along fine with people of all stripes.  That said, I do not agree that there is anything "great" about using government force on people.

Quoteand he is intitled to his opinions just like you.
Again, I never once suggested that he wasnt entitled to them.  My only gripe was that his article was not labled "Socialist Viewpoint" as it was in the prior issue.  Simple.

I think we might have to label Ian's articles as "Nutty Anarchist" or something. :)
Some people think our paper is too libertarian.
We had one guy who had avoided our paper because he thought it was going to be somewhere left of the Sentinel. He likes it now that he has read some.

FTL_Ian

Perhaps a contest to see who's the nuttiest.  How do we determine the nuttiness quotient?  Is one nuttier the more he supports voluntary solutions?

SocialDemocrat

Methinks people should have a hand in what they are called...The power to label is a very potient one...So the recepient should have a say...

"Socialist" is too strong a word for me because I don't believe in government control of all parts of our social and economic life.  There are things I believe that the marketplace does best, and there are sectors where the public sector is best.  I have read and actually met Solzhentsyn so I do fear an all powerful government. A mixed economy is what I favor.  The Third Way. As found in Sweden. And European democracies.

So call me "Social Democrat" please.

tracysaboe

The problem is government interference always begets more government interference.

Hence a "third-way" is always eventually going to evolve into some sort of total state of a socialist/fascist hybrid, or one or the other.

or stay a "third way" .... which is evil enough.

To me "Social Democrat" is a bad enough title.

They should start their own paper.   ::)

People like you make me laugh. Because it is always good to have different opinions in very paper.
And that is why it could make it very interesting.

But if you really know him. He is not really a "Social Democrat". Like he wants you to think.
