How to help

I just wanted to run this poll to remind people of the importance of doing more of the first nine things.  The last three activities are fun, but not as useful for bringing about political change.

The 400 FSPers who are already here will be joined by some of the 700 who've said that they plan to move in the next two years.  We are also being joined by activists who've shown up but haven't actually told us that they moved here. (I know of a few here in Manchester.)  If those people would just give out how-to-vote cards to five or six other people, we would have about 10,000 proliberty swing voters.  If we had even 2,000 real activists, we could change the state politically in a very short span of time.

We have elections every year.  In odd numbered years, we have local elections.  Even numbered years give us city elections.  The groups getting our tax money show up in numbers and put their cronies into office.  They turn our police officers, health inspectors, housing inspectors, environmental regulators, coast guard inspectors and others into tax collectors.  The public sector unions, PACs, school administrators, state employees association and others organize to steal everything they can from the taxpayers.  That's all they're doing.

I agree, thus I put you up to -4 ;)

Well since the point of the project is only getting them here, I try to subtly advertise for NH, and I often point out the existence of the FSP to liberty minded people in other states.

One note - be careful NOT to tell big government liberals or conservatives who would join this just to join about it. I almost made that mistake one, my friend was all interested in having a socialist revolution, and I almost told him about the FSP (because it has strong revolutionary overtones, etc, not because its encouraging NH socialism). Close call.

I think the most effective way of influencing NH politics falls in this order:
Running
Testifying
Calling or emailing current members
Financing pro liberty candidates and spreading the word
Getting more liberty lovers here (a hard one to do)
etc

Max, you act as if you weren't the one who started the flaming.   ::)

Isn't he leaving the country, or something?

Max I also read on the FSP site that you are on the dole.
I know that Dan McGuire has a job that might interest you (working for a GOP PAC).
send me a PM and I can forward you the details.

I agree with you.
People need to be active. But everyone is active in their own way. Not everyone agrees with working within the system.  You will NEVER change their minds.  So work with them when you can.  Also maybe people are promoting freedom a lot they need some place to vent, blow off steam, and share experiences with like minded folk.  I find it kinda cool that once a month I will be around 40-50 people who agree with about 75% of the things I do.

also you keep bringing up belize and the west... how is that helpingthe cause in NH.. I don't have a problem with it but you can see that that can cause problems right?

Have you signed First1000?

This isn't the FSP forum.

Then again, I'm not one to place great importance on karma. Check mine, and see if you think it's in line with my contributions of news articles and pro-freedom opinions.

We can bring that Karma up.

Explain why Unions won't let companies fire people that suck.
Explain why Unions spend a lot of money on politics instead of helping their members.
Explain why I have to pay Union dues if I am not in the Union.

Start a new thread and defend yourself (with Georgist or personal attacks) and your karma might rise.
SocialD is a commie and his karma isn't negative.

That is what people say before the company finds other options. There are reasons places like Germany have 20% unemployment.
