I am helping plan porcfest with all the other "friends of porcfest".
We could talk about what the out of state visitors have thought of NH, porcfest, new porcupine friends at the meeting. :)

I don't think I will be picking the speaker lineup or anything. I did like that we had people from NH/FSP speaking, but there sure was a lot of talk about political/legal strategies. (5 speakers were from the NHLA ..... can you imagine if we would have had 5 speeches from the underground?)

I am all for less speeches of all kind.  I would prefer more roundtable discussions.  Pick a topic. Sit at the table for an hour.  Pick another topic sit at the table for an hour.
Plus too many in one day.  better to split it up into two 1/2 days.
ok I will quit bitchin.  I am just made because I didn't here Russell or Lauren speak. :'(

Is Dreepa channeling Tracy?   :o

I think roundtables over two days is a good idea!  :D

Psst... over here.

Don't be mad Chris...

I got what you need... you know the good stuff... full resolution, unadulterated, classic Russell and the rest of the remarkable folks I've been documenting for a year.
Anyone else that wants the good stuff, I'll be at the meeting... at the door tell them Joe sent ya. ;D

I just finnished viewing Roger's DVD and it is 'Good Stuff'.  I don't know if he is set up to sell them thru the mail.  Email him and ask.  This guy shows up at almost everything and delivers his coverage of events right away.  He has expended a lot of his time and money.  He needs some capital equipment to serve us better.  Buy his video!

I agree, good stuff!  He wants to set something up so Russell and I can sell them for him.

Candidates Forum at the August Merrimack Valley Porcupines Meeting

Calling all liberty-loving political candidates! Running for office
takes a lot of work. Money doesn't hurt, either. Thanks to the
ongoing success of such organizations as the Free State Project and
the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, an unprecedented number of
libertarians / small-government activists are running for office in
New Hampshire this year. The Merrimack Valley Porcupines are one of
the best in-state pools of volunteers, able to plant yard signs,
distribute fliers, hold signs on election day, design campaign
websites, and maybe even contribute a buck or two. Here's your chance
to practice your public speaking skills, kiss a baby or two, and make
your sales pitch to a crack team of volunteers! There are a limited
number of weekends between now and election day. Our troops, while
stout of heart, are limited in number. Come and tell us what office
you are running for, why you think you're electable, why liberty will
be served by helping you to get elected, what kind of help you're
seeking, and why we should donate our critical volunteer hours to you
instead of, you know... that other libertarian running for office.

When: Saturday, August 5, 1:00 - 2:30ish
Where: back room of Bickford's Grille, 1000 S. Willow St., Manchester
Why: because you need us (admit it)

Members of all political parties, and independents, are welcome.
Depending on how many candidates wish to participate, we may need to
defer some speakers to September. Preference will be given to
candidates who have not already addressed the MVP in the last two
months. All candidates will be given an equal length of time to
address the group, probably in the 5 - 10 minute range. Time
violators will be shot.

If you would like to participate, and/or have any questions, please
contact Sandy Pierre at scitarel@yahoo.com or (603) 206-4352.

Weren't you just saying on another thread that there's too much speechifying at these meetings? ??? ::)

Russell Kanning

Do you have time for us to have the Porcupine Raffle drawing or should we do that at the Monadnock Porcupine meeting?

We were going to have the drawing at the Manchester Porc meeting in August ..... but I don't know if I can handle the speeches.

Sandy has enough trouble just herding the cats, and my family is bringing kittens! (Not the cute, cuddly kind, the jr. rebel kind.)

Caleb

Ummmm ... do you think Sandy will let Alex Jones speak if I can get him?  :)
