I'm a little confused. I think the article only covers state taxes and fees, and the biggest part of your car tags in NH are assessed at the local/town/city level.

Or am I mistaken?

I know one thing ..... if you buy a $50,000 car in CA you can pay $4,000 or so in Sales Tax. There is no sales tax in NH.

People who buy $50,000 cars need to pay a value tax... :-X
