Taking a page from the Free-staters who are moving to New Hampshire, should I move to the People's Republic of Vermont?

My therapist sez it would be better for me to surround myself with like-minded people and allies...My mother sez it never worked out for me here anyways...I like the architecture better, the music scene, the art, the sophisticated New Yorkers finding retreat in Vermont...the river...the radio stations...

What do you think? Should I stay or should I go?

Should I cross the Connecticut River?

Fluff and Stuff

If you want to, do it.  If I was a statist, I would not want to live in NH either.

Russell Kanning

I think it would be a good idea. Over time you might not be comfortable with how few decisions the government makes compared to all the voluntary transactions between private citizens and companies in this area. But then I hope Vermont will be free soon.

I say go.  The socialist battle is already lost in NH.  VT is looking to do socialist healthcare, NH will do free market healthcare.  It should be an interesting study in contrasts....

I guess moving makes sense.  It was kinda nice having you around, though.

If you have any socialistic friends in Keene, you might want to invite them all to come with you.  You could start a commune!   :icon_pirat:

Hey Vermont has a Republican governor. Of course he sells socialism lite.

No stinking concealed carry permit required. And eventhough things have gone socialist in Vermont I think the pendulum won't swing alot further.

The costs of the mistakes are adding up. I wouldn't be suprised to see a property tax revolt. One of the highest tax burdens in the country, with less benefits than other states.

If you are self employed good luck getting health insurance. And speaking of employment, you better import your job with you. They are so anti-business longtime local family run businesses are fleeing across the river to NH.

I understand feeling out numbered, but the alternative is to be surrounded by reactionary lefties that all are afraid to disagree with the group.
Heck at least we won't call you selfish if you choose to take care of your own interests first.

tracysaboe

Well, we might, but we would support your selfishness as a noble good.

Massachusetts would be the place for him to go. Better yet, Sweden.

How about you move there.

Social Democrat could still write into our paper from Brattleboro and report on how the People's Paradise is doing. :)
