After many false starts, there may be some major league interest.  I didn't know Angelina Jolie was an objectivist and fan of Rand, interesting.

Maybe the wachoviavich or whatever brothers could make it and we could have cool kunfu action. ;)

Lets see .... who would be good for the roles.....

.....and whenever they do a speech .... you will have time to head for the restrooms.

They'll need  to write in a good cliffhanger....I really adore cliffhangers.

I remember rumors about making this movie back over 30 years ago around the time when I first heard  people talk about private mail delivery companies.

Friday

I once got a family member who is so very, very NOT a libertarian to watch the old black and white version of "The Fountainhead". Not only did he sit threw the whole 10 minute monologue that Rand forced them to leave in the script near the end of the movie, he actually said "Good speech" afterwards.  I think Atlas Shrugged should be required reading for every schoolkid in America; it is one of the few books (out of thousands) I've read that really changed my life.

Now, as for playing Casting Director...  >:D

Angelina Jolie: she's much prettier than I imagine Dagny being.  But if they tone her way down, with unsexy clothing, minimal makeup, etc., I can actually see her making a good Dagny.

John Galt: Clive Owen  :heartbeat: :love4: :love5:  I'd be that man's libertarian love slave any day

Hank Rearden: still thinking about this one

Jim Taggart:  James Gandolfini?  Paul Giamatti?

Ragnar:  Brad Pitt, if he can fake a Scandinavian accent

Eddie Bradford:  Topher Grace...?  hmmmm

I've always pictured Kim Delaney as Dagny.

Hank Rearden has to be Harrison Ford.

Don't forget Antonio Banderas as Francisco d'Anconia.

Now, to cast the villains....  >:D

Those make sense.

The guy who was in "Tucker" could play Reardon also.

Who should be the pirate?

I like Tom Selleck for Rearden,.... or Wyatt.

I don't like the idea of Gary Cooper. There is a hesitancy about him that Galt wouldn't have.

Dreepa

The movie would have to be long.  And we know that Hollywood is not going to make a long movie with not a lot of action.
