How can an appointed official in DC have any kind of Jurisdiction in a free Union State?
He can't.

The next definition tells why.

(5) State.--The term "State'' means a State of the United
        States
, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin
Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, the

New Hampshire is a free and independent state that joined the Union of free and independent states that is known as the United States of America.

The "State" of Maldavies has no representation in Congress does it Judd?

So, that includes SSN, huh.  Great, next time I get robbed, not only will they have my wallet, credit cards, and cash, but also my life. :o >:(

I'm sure the government will decide something as easily removable as a card is a bad idea and insist that everybody wishing to have ID recieve a chip somewhere about their person. Forehead or wrist sound familiar... oh yeah, the book of revelations.

It's hard to be a naysayer when the path is getting more and more clearly paved.
It's only a matter of time before there's another "terrorist" attack, and we are forced, perhaps through a constitutional amendment to avoid complaints from the states, to carry federal ID at all times. Then when people get their card's security comprimised through theft, they will require that it be implanted subdermally.

section, a State shall include, at a minimum, the following information
and features on each driver's license and identification card issued to
a person by the State:
            (1) The person's full legal name.
            (2) The person's date of birth.
            (3) The person's gender.
            (4) The person's driver's license or identification card
        number.
            (5) A digital photograph of the person.
            (6) The person's address of principle residence.

tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for
        fraudulent purposes.
            (9) A common machine-readable technology, with defined
        minimum data elements.
I think I may have jumped to conclusions.  SSN isn't here.  Are these the "data elements"?  ???
Either way I just realized the part I quoted was for the database, not the ID.     I guess it could still be used for ID theft though.  A hackers jackpot.  >:D

Are the numbers still up to the state, or generated by the feds?

Does anybody know the details about the Prouse decision?  I think the court said that police can't stop cars at random for a license checkpoint, but the checkpoint would be valid if they check every driver.  I'm not sure about the reasoning though.  It might back up the papers please fear more definitively.
