Let me know, cause this will probably accelerate my move.

Why? Do you want a new Keene jail?

Tracy
Maybe he wants to be here before it to stop it

Russell Kanning

Maybe it will never happen. :)
You can come and work a better job.

TN-FSP is actually an inmate, and is waiting for the new jail to open so he can request a transfer.  :)

I am not much of a reporter. I don't know what is going on with this.

Clearly, I'd rather work for a private jail, but I'll take what I can get. I want to make use out of my schooling, but don't want to be a cop--Thanks to Ian.

Lex

What about private security? Like for a bank or shopping mall or something?

Atlas

Banks tend to use surveillance cameras as security measures(cheaper), plus bank robberies probably don't happen very much in NH anyway. Shopping malls tend not to pay much. Hospitals may be in need of security, but overall, there doesn't seem to be a general demand for private security in NH. Jails pay higher. Are there any private jails in NH or in other states that surround NH's perimeter?

Lex

I didn't know there were such things as private jails?!  ???

tracysaboe

There are.

The state constructs them out thereby making a socialist system of state owned jails into a fascist one of government controled/regulated private ones.

There certainly aren't free market jails.

Halliburton just sprinkled several places throughout the US with "detention camps", those may count well enough.

No better group of people to work for if you're looking for job security!

Atlas

Maybe the Keene jail could eventually be privatized legitimately?
