Sunset in NH

What time does the sun set in NH, particularly in the summer?

I'm curious because one of the very few things I like about Sweden is how the sun sets late in the summer (about 10:30 at the height of summer) here. The long summer nights are really nice.

Golly, I couldn't really tell you what time it sets so I guess it isn't significantly different than SC where we came from. Light until 9ish?
Now, if daylight gets you out of bed, like it does me, you will be looking for coffee at 4:30am. I can't count the number of times I have stood outside a diner waiting for the doors to open at 6.

NH sits around the 71st longitude.  Sun sets around 8:30 in the summer

It's setting at 8:30 or so right now, it can get as late as 9-9:30PM.

I've also seen the sun rise around 4:30-5AM.

With a full moon rising it can be light till about 9:45 (Maybe 10 with enhancements. ) on the solstice.

Sunset is when the sun touches the horizon.

"Civil twilight" or "nautical twilight" means it's dark enough to start the previews at the drive-in theater.

The farther north you are, the longer twilight you get. I love it! Is that period before sunrise still called twilight? Or is there a different term?

With a good full moon, like a Harvest moon, it can be midnight and almost be bright enough to not need headlights.  Certianly bright enough to not need a flashlight for a romantic romp in the woods....

Looking at the globe we are at the same latitude as So. France or No. Italy ..... so our summer days will be much shorter.
