Just making this a calendar item:

Hi folks:

I know we have a lot to work on at our meeting Weds, but I have a suggestion......

At the same time, Weds., Feb. 9th, at 7pm, Keene will be holding the Keene School District First Session Meeting.

Basicially, it is where the people of the city get together, and hammer out the final proposals, add ammendments, etc., to the school warrant articles for next month's vote.

It's basically NH cities version of the old-fashioned New England town meetings (the towns still have them).

Great, low level Athenian-mob style democracy in action.

Whoever wants to go can go, but you need to be a registered voter in Keene to vote on the motions.

There's a section set aside for non-Keene people to watch.

It's at Keene High, across from Varrins house (:O)), in the auditorium.

This would give you new-comers ;O) a chance to see NH (actual) democracy in action. Could be great for the group. Whatdyall think?
