1.how much is rent in your area for a 1/1 or 2/1.5 apartment

2.how much is it for cigarette cartons? im hoping its not going ot be like ny where its 60$ for a carton of camels, more reasonable where i live at 25.

1- depending on where you live, $350-$800 a month is average, $350 being a so-so apartment in a smaller town or outside a city, and $800 being a decent apartment in a nicer location. And most apartments in NH aren't in apartment complexes (a few city ones are), they are on top of stores and rented out, they are half of duplex homes, or very small, say 6 apartment buildings.

2- A carton goes between $20 and $40, Camels are usually around $30-35.

3- $2.74 to $2.79 here at the moment, I hear it's higher in southern NH.

Gas is 2.87 - 3.09  around the Concord area.

I bought gas for $2.72 in Groveton :)

I paid $2.79/gallon in Somersworth on Thursday.  On my way to Lancaster, I saw gas for $2.71/gallon.

Apartment rents really do vary by location. We pay $800 for a 1/1 that is part of a large complex and it is only so so. We looked at an apartment that was one of four in a converted house in the same town and it ran $690 and was in pretty dismal condition. At least most that I have seen include heat.

I don't smoke, but have noticed it costs $32-$36 a carton. It just amazes me that someone would spend $100 a month on it. That's alot of money.

"pack a day" is really a lot. There are many smokers who have 1-4 cigarettes per day, which of course lasts 5-20 days. That would make a carton last 50 to 200 days, since there's ten packs in a carton.

I guess it's the everything in moderation rule.

I know folks who smoke 2 and 4 packs a day. They always have a cigarette in their hand and do what is called "chain" smoking - lighting a new cigarette from the old.

Doesn't sound very healthy. "Chain" anything doesn't sound very healthy.

Chain gangs give you great excercise.

Well the Chain in Chain gang isn't the same chain as the chain in chain smoking

Perhaps I should have said compulsive anything isn't good.

I smoke a few cigarettes a month. As in a couple of times a month I'll smoke a cigarette or two on a friday or saturday night. A pack of 20 cigarettes lasts me months. Sometimes more if I'm at a party or a venue where smoking is allowed (which only happens when I'm travelling abroad since bar-smoking is banned in Sweden)

Don't they go stale?

Cathleen
They'll last longer if you refrigerate them. And most normal smokers utilize about a pack a day. Any more and you might want to grow a few herb plants. I'm lucky to grab a pack under $5.
