My wife expressed an interest in getting ink when we come out to scout NH late summer.  We're looking for ideas about liberty oriented symbolism that would be subtlely defiant yet feminine in design. Any ideas?
Also refferals to high quality tattooists welcome.

Amagi:

Not sure how feminine it looks, but it'd make for pretty good ink.

Amagi is a cuneiform inscription that is the earliest-known written appearance of the word "freedom" (amagi), or "liberty." It is taken from a clay document written about 2300 B.C. in the Sumerian city-state of Lagash.

*That* is *beautiful*.

Personally, I want a black sillhoutte of a pistol or rifle of some kind.  Someone I ran into on another forum has a large one across his back and DAMN that's sexy.

What does "feminine" mean, exactly?

Well, I had been planning on an Ama-gi tattoo for some time now... Finally got mine on Thurs Sept 14th...  I took this photo right after getting home from having the work done.

Ouch!
Did it hurt as much as it looks like it would... there?

It looks incredible.

In my line of work, we encounter some ..."interesting"... characters. I've seen smiley faces, pinstriped flames, devil horns... all in a very *ahem* personal location.

Nice job...looking at guy's dicks.

I don't have a picture of mine, but it's pretty rad (and in a non-private place)
Anyone who's coming to our meet-n-greet Saturday can see :)

What line of work is that?!
