What about the grocery stores?
Can you buy alot of different chiles and hot sauces in them?
Here in Sweden the stores usaly only have red and green chili and most of the time they don't even have that.

The selection is 'ok' not great.  Some stores are better than others.

The more expensive stores have better selections, of course. Yesterday, at a lower priced store, I had to settle for an Anaheim pepper for my haleem as it was the only fresh hot pepper.

Pakistani dish made with lamb, wheat berries, lentils, barley and spices all stewed and mashed together. Eaten with a flat bread scoop and topped with shredded hot pepper, fresh ginger, green onions. Good stuff!

Sounds great! I wonder what kind of BEER goes best with that dish?  :)

So I need to ask...what about Thai, Indian, and/or Middle Eastern food in Keene? Anything?

Kat Kanning

There's a Thai place on Main.  We ate there once.  The food was good, but I thought rather bland for Thai.  I hadn't noticed any Indian or Middle Eastern food.

A cooking dog...hmm, sounds...interesting.

Here's a listing of restaurants in Keene.

The Thai place in Concord is OK.  No complaints from my wife and she loves Thai food... .she has gone there several times.
I think it is called Siam Orchid about 3 doors down from the Barley House.

I really love Siam Orchid - very delicious with good service and a nice atmosphere.

You can get very tasty Indian food at India Palace, with locations on Willow Street in a building just down the road from the big Shaw's plaza, and in Nashua on Route 101 in the shopping center across from the Nashua Community Technical College.  Tell Sage Latka, the owner, that Mike & Caren sent you.
