Police Say Natick Mall Store Sold Illegal Weapons
(CBS4) NATICK Police are investigating a store in the Natick Mall that was selling illegal martial arts weapons.

The incident was brought to the attention of police on Sunday when a customer went into Eastern Arts and saw double edged knives, nun chucks, stun guns, swords and other items. The customer called sate police and Natick police who performed the bust.

No arrests have been made the case, but charges may be brought up against the Eastern Arts, which has only been open for two weeks.

Police say their biggest concern was the prices the items were being sold for. The weapons started at about $25 and went up from there -- making it easy for young people to buy.

The incident is still under investigation.

Should have sold them in New Hampshire

- 159:24.  Sale of Martial Arts Weapons.
  I. "Martial arts weapon" means any kind of sword, knife,
spear, throwing star, throwing dart, or nunchaku or any
other object designed for use in the martial arts which
capable of being used as a lethal or dangerous weapon.
II. Any person who shall sell, deliver, or otherwise
transfer any martial arts weapon to a person under the age
of 18... shall be guilty of a misdemeanor... [exempts
parents, guardians, and those to whom they give written
   permission].

(I can't believe that this law was right on the top of my head.. I've been reading too many RSA's)

I have Nunchucks I wonder if those are banned in Mass too like everything else.

15 miles east of Boston (heck, 2 miles east of Boston) puts you in the drink  :D  Natick is 15-20 miles to the west.

How dare he!!
He should sell them for $250 and then no one will buy them and he will go out of business.

This story makes me laugh.
When will the 276 porcs in MA move up the road apiece?

Heh, those are great options.  "Either charge a reasonable price and get shut down by the cops, or charge an unreasonable price and get shut down by the economy."

One is coming next summer, and can't be more excited  ;D

So many points to that story to comment on? where to begin?

QuoteThe customer called sate police?

I guess this would be the first part to comment on? what kind of dope called the police because a store is selling knives and swords?  If it were any where other then Mass I?d say this person needs to be found and have some serious sense slapped into them.

QuotePolice say their biggest concern was the prices the items were being sold for.

Again, anywhere but Mass this statement would shock me? but in a socialistic state I can see why the government would be concerned with prices, after all isn?t that the government?s job, setting prices?

?For the children?  GAAAAHHHHAHHAAAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!  (bangs head on computer screen)

So, they were selling "nun chucks", eh? I wonder if they looked like these:

LOL !!

Though from my experiance the perferd weapon of Nun's is a ruler or a yard stick if more reach is needed.
