I think that mailing an inquiry is the nice way to introduce oneself. Perhaps they would like to have a speaker come to a taxpayer meeting to explain the finer points. ;D

We the people has already done this. They even held a convention down the street from the IRS in DC to make it easy on them. The IRS never shows up.

Tom Sawyer

Maybe the DC tax folks aren't as friendly as the neighborhood tax folks.

I just have to ask myself what would Shorty do?

Things you later wish you'd said.....

When the ICE guy got all huffy on Roger for saying "Be nice to him", I should have said "Why would I think you wouldn't be nice to him?  You're the one taking a paycheck from people who torture and kill innocents.  Why pretend you're still a decent person?"

Nice, that's the way to influence a fence-sitting cop, who generally likes his job as a peace officer but dislikes the mentality he sees in some of his peers, to jump over to your side.

Kat Kanning

No one working for homeland security is a "peace officer".

Russell Kanning

We are asking them to stop doing bad things and quit. I had good conversations with them but they are not on our side in this struggle for liberty ..... not yet.

Dave Ridley

ICE new hampshire office is listed on their site as

New Hampshire Boston Office Phone: 617-565-4261

Russell Kanning

He didn't say where in Manchester .... just that they were not in the Bedford place. But then he might have not told me the truth.

First, let me make an introduction. I have never been to New Hampshire, but you folks seem like you are fed up.

I like that.

It may be a better approach, however, if you remember these 4 simple rules:

1. Know who you are
2. Know who has the burden of proof
3. NEVER argue
4. Document your remedy.

These have worked exceptionally well for me, as well as learning the art of cross-examination...

That being said, pissing in their soup bowl is a sure-fire way to get noticed. I got tired of being noticed, except when they chose to disrupt my day when I was minding my own affairs.

Then, it was to the courthouse for cross-examination time...

They don't particularly care to prove their case, and if questioned effectively, the house of cards come right apart.

i guess you don't get the point of this particular event .... i wanted to poke the bear
it worked

Holy crap. Necrophilia anyone? This thread has been dead for years. I thought Russell had been arrested again!

Lloyd Danforth

Same here. A little.  I have no reason to suspect that Russell would find himself in an IRS office.

Have you tested your theory? Do you plan to test it? Or is this just hot air?
