Is there a place where this is posted besides a forum, so I can post it to Digg?

Tracy

My thought exactly.

I wrote a letter to Russ and put it in the mail this morning. He should get it by the end of this week. In the meantime, are people e-mailing the PD and/or the jailers or whoever? I might send them an email at the address shown in the sig.

tracysaboe

I dugg it.

However, it's a bit dated. Not sure how well it'll do. If everybody on the forum diggs it though. You never know.

Called the jail again and when they picked up I said

" Your prisoner of conscience , Russell Kanning, is not forgotten."

The desk officer said I beg your pardon?

So I said

"Your prisoner of conscience , Russell Kanning, is not forgotten.  That is all"

He said " thank you."

And I said

"Thank YOU"

they are at 603 742 3310 if u want to call them too.

I think you'll find that when Russell is released and reads or hears Denis's opinion of what happened, his reaction will be respectful and tolerant.
I think you're wrong!!
He'll probably laugh at how ridiculously pointless us "politico" types are, and maybe even point out that's why the most simple, obvious thing to do is to disobey the state purposefully ;D

Just my guess, tho

It's true. A few months ago when someone posted news about a tax victory in a local town that was going to return $1.2M to the taxpayesr, Russell posted a criticism which stated that maybe people would just be sick of politicking and give up on it (even tho it was a success), etc etc. He disagrees with the rest of the 90% who work within the system, and that's his right.
He advocates not voting, not running for office, and not paying taxes and as Denis said, 90% us would not ascribe to that advice because we are making gains in that area to 'make NH free'.

HOWEVER, we are all friends with Russell, we love him and Kat and if he wants to do this and thinks it's effective, we will hope for the best for him.

I think when Denis says that people should not move here if they think all they are going to do is come to NH to aggravate the law and get arrested he is just trying to emphasize that this is not all there is to it and is just pointing out what the majority do and don't do for activism.

Now my thoughts are, I am glad Russell is not starving himself anymore because I worry that this can't be good for his health. If anything were to happen to him, he would be depriving Kat of a husband that she dearly loves, and as a widow, I know how sad that is.

I had read that Russell was going to an IRS office. But, he did it alone. That made him a simple target. I know I'm not yet in NH...but I would like to suggest that if 10 or 15 people had joined Russell...they could have all gone in ONE at a time. As one is arrested and taken away...another goes in. Then another, etc. If nothing else it would have used up a lot of police getting called back each time. Man, I can't wait to get to NH!

And your point would be to get several people arrested and possibly be thrown in jail indefinitely...for what purpose? If you are a bazillionaire, and don't have to work for a living, I supposed you have the luxury of being able to do this. If all you care about is protesting the IRS, you don't have to be in NH to do that, nor do you need a mob of people to do it......

So I guess my question at this point is, what's stopping you from doing this in your current town? (Not that I'm encouraging it, just asking an obvious question.)

Has Russell ever considered adding a rubber chicken to his pitch fork (as if it has been stabbed)?  It just makes sense to me...

CNHT, you don't know sqaut about me. You don't know how I spent 10 years writing to the IRS as they attempted to defraud me. So, no, I don't just care about protesting the IRS...I already have stupid! You don't know that in 1990 I stepped out of social security so I have a real intererst in seeing the Real ID and use of the SSN for licenses stopped.

Why not get several people arrested! It's better then Russell going it alone. I wasn't aware Russell was a bazillionaire...but he's doing it.

Do you still participate in social security? Do you still file taxes? Do you sit at your computer letting others do the dirty work?

FTL_Ian

I can answer CNHT's question.

It's suicide to take actions like Russell's anywhere except in NH.  No one around here would come to my or ATC's aid should we do something similar.

We're waiting until we get to NH, that's where the stand needs to be made.  ATC, I look forward to seeing you in NH!
