They just came in and threw Russell to the ground and took him.  They were taking him to the Federal Court in Corcord and he's supposed to go before a judge this morning.  Heading out now.

Kat Kanning

If anyone can meet me there that would be wonderful.  It'd be great to have protesters there before they get Russell there.

Dave Ridley

do we have an address for concord's federal court?  is it the main fed compound at 55 pleasant street?

I got your call a min. ago and have made one call so far to inform others.

Dave Ridley

folks at wkxl tell me the fed building is in fact 55 pleasant st.

arright, have called 4 of our folks who live in concord to ask if they can make it to 55 pleasant street, also called 4 local media and brought all up to speed.   Mostly these contacts were voice mails however so i doubt anyone will be able to arrive with any great speed.  I will be unable to post until at least 12:30pm and my cell is running low but will continue to do what I can.

Oh my.  When you get a chance, Kat, please describe more in detail what occurred this morning.  If for no other reason than to get it all written down.

:'(

I've come up with an idea to help spread the word fast, posting it here so as not to derail this thread's topic:

Damnit, I thought RI would be close enough to show up for things like this until I move.  It isn't.

We might not see him for awhile now.  I look forward to more updates from him being relayed here.

BTW: Does anyone know if they took his computer?  He was posting on here at the time of the arrest according to his profile.

I suspect they did not really "raid" thier home. Rather they served the warrant for his arrest that was issued on Friday when he didn't show for his court appearance. I'll bet throwing him down is standard or at least standard for anyone who smiles and says, "I'd rather not go with you."

Dada said they "stormed in", Kat said they "just came in".

Sounds like a raid to me.   :-\

There is nothing more dangerous then a person with a idea and the ability to communicate the idea.

Wow feels like I am in a book, too bad it is 1984.

They must have taken him to the Ministry of Love

Kat Kanning

His hearing or trial or whatever it's going to be is at 2:00, courtroom B.  It's the same place where we held snowball raid, Brown protest, FEMA protest.

The guy who was in charge on Thursday came by after all the other guys had left with Russell...apparently just to chat with me.  He wanted to convince me that they weren't the bad guys.

I'm at Jenn's at the moment.  She came and got us a few minutes ago.

"We're not the bad guys, we're just following bad orders!"  That makes you bad too, cop!

I wonder if they don't think they are the bad guys, then who do they think are the bad guys?

Now that must have been an interesting conversation!  "hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood thug and I'm really a nice guy, as long as you follow all my rules"
