I forgot to mention the bizarre scene out of Brazil I experienced:

They'd just thrown my husband down, chained him and hussled him out to a waiting car.  The thug who did it then turned to me, smiled and said "Have a nice day!"

I didn't get a receipt for him, though.

Dave thanks for the energy of creating and distributing the press release. :)

I took a random look at the responses...

I think that a significant number of the negatives can be discounted. Keyboard Commandos that jump on with their cutting 1 sentence responses are (I think) not worth even considering. The second group I see got all hung up on the nonfact of the pitchfork being used to intimidate people.

Of the positive responses I find folks that were moved, even if they thought it was as Russell said 'Tilting at Windmills'

An example from a female commenter:
"People talk about situations day in and day out, but this guy got off his duff and did something to prove a point and to try to correct a wrong being done by the US Government.  Most of us are *all* lip service, because none of us want to go to jail, not even for something we truly believe in.  If our Founding Fathers had felt this way we would still be a subject to the Queen.  It will be someone like him or his group that will be the ones to turn this Country around some day IMHO."

This stuff can't be graded by the numbers... refining the message and more carefully structuring the acts could greatly improve the perception.

If you only went by the numbers Apple computer would be considered a failure at something like 5% percent market share. Try telling that to all the kids with iPods...

The college audience feedback I got on the DVD's content such as your UN Flag burn idea was terrific. They were really moved and excited by it.

I think the Keene Free Press article that Russell wrote does a good job of setting up what his action was about.

No I don't... I need the happy ending. If the authorities had been really rough on tape with him that would be released as the story.
Barring that (thank goodness), we need the happy ending. I got some good stuff (as good as that can be) at the prison. The folks rallying for him. Kat's interview at the entrance to the prison (could only watch it once too touching). I need Russell telling us what the hell went on and why the hell he did it. Only he can finish the piece 'Tilting at Windmills'. We have one time with the audience... the video should be up to the caliber of his effort.

Right now I am busy trying to make up lost revenues. ;)

I think if folks on those forums you posted to got to read the article. 'Tilting at Windmills' that Russell wrote from the yet to be released KFP that would be a good primer for why he did it.

Good job spreading the word... let's go for the longer range story. People should feel the uncertainty with us...

Kat can we use the article text and this image?

Also we should maybe throw in the link to the song with Russell getting arrest  "...you don't even want to let me hand out flyers."

Tilting at Windmills is in the current issue....almost to be taken off the news stands.

I intend to put your words with video of the prison and the group, ending with your feelings about Russell's incarceration. I can tighten up your description of why he is here becasue you won't be on camera. Ending up on you with you in front of the entrance telling us how you feel... powefull stuff.

Thanks for sharing your feelings... the powers that be can try to paint us in a negative light... but, in the end who is the "gang". The women, children and men trying to peacefully effect change, or the organized violence used against us.

It is time to send the Federal thugs packing from our fair city.  The US government is killing people around the world to expand its power base.  It is using our neighbors as cannon fodder and your money to accomplish their evil deeds.  They are building an empire on our backs and in our names.  They are imprisoning or killing those that oppose them.

Enough is enough.

Gandhi called his non-cooperation with evil a campaign of civil disobedience.  I am calling it "Tilting at Windmills".  An individual seems powerless against the lone global superpower, but it is the individual consent of each of us that enables them.  So the power is in our hands to bring down this rotten government.  We have a few offices in Keene that hold employees of the United States.  The IRS office is above the post office.  The SS Administration has an office near the central square.  And the military recruiters are down on Winchester street.  I have chosen to begin with the IRS.  Jesus Christ overturned the moneychangers tables.  I will try to turn over the tax collectors desks.  Hopefully we can make people laugh as we attack these fortresses on the outskirts of the empire.  After we charge the Federal Windmills with homemade shields and lances, we can pick ourselves up and do it again.

Would anyone like to help spread the word regarding Russell?

Dave has been doing most of this... can you spend some time and post to the forums he lists with Russell's article, the image and links (like the song, KeeneFreePress, NHFree.com etc.)

Russell's "Tilting at Windmills" will not be in vain if we reach even a handful of people with his attempt.

I am here because Russell went to the airport... who knows what other skills and enthusiasm come on board from being touched by this current attempt.
