This response to my post from CNHT. And your point would be to get several people arrested and possibly be thrown in jail indefinitely...for what purpose? If you are a bazillionaire, and don't have to work for a living, I supposed you have the luxury of being able to do this. If all you care about is protesting the IRS, you don't have to be in NH to do that, nor do you need a mob of people to do it......

So I guess my question at this point is, what's stopping you from doing this in your current town? (Not that I'm encouraging it, just asking an obvious question

CNHT, you don't know sqaut about me. You don't know how I spent 10 years writing to the IRS as they attempted to defraud me. So, no, I don't just care about protesting the IRS...I already have stupid!

There is no need to call names. I only asked you a simple question not knowing what you have or have not done. All I am saying is, you don't have to be in NH to protest the IRS.

QuoteYou don't know that in 1990 I stepped out of social security so I have a real intererst in seeing the Real ID and use of the SSN for licenses stopped.
Why not get several people arrested! It's better then Russell going it alone. I wasn't aware Russell was a bazillionaire...but he's doing it.

I did not say Russell was a bazillionaire but some people do have to work to pay their bills.

Do you still participate in social security? Do you still file taxes? Do you sit at your computer letting others do the dirty work?

I think most would agree that I do *plenty* of work here not to have to qualify that accusation with an answer. (The president of the FSP once told me that I did enough work to qualify for 1,000 people)

As for 'dirty' work, some people think what I do 24/7 is not appealing, thus it would be 'dirty work' to them. But I am sure no one would accuse me of sitting at my computer doing nothing. At least others have admitted they could not ever do what Russell did for various reasons.

Thank you for pointing out the very problem I wished to highlight and that is, thinking you are going to come to NH to criticize the other 90% for not doing things your way only, or dismissing their efforts as useless.

Because that is not the way we work here.

I still have my question: What is stopping you from doing what Russell did in your own town? Writing to the IRS is not the same as going into their offices to ask the employees to quit and then getting arrested for it. Just because you don't, doesn't make me think you are any less dedicated to your disapproval of the IRS, the Real ID Act, or SSNs or any other entity seen as intrusive. This is not about acid tests. No one is questioning your beliefs, just asking what else could be done where you are, now.

I can answer CNHT's question.
It's suicide to take actions like Russell's anywhere except in NH.  No one around here would come to my or ATC's aid should we do something similar.

Really? You think so? So you're saying you think that not one person where you live dislikes the IRS as much as you do? Hmmm. Other than protesting and writing and calling, to call attention to this, is there anything else you could do to get Russell out of jail? I think you would have people come to your aid in that way...no matter where you were. (I can't remember what state you are from but it can't be that bad!)

I'm sure of it.  There is no network of freedom lovers down here like NHFree.com.  Nor is it worthwhile to build one.  The best shot is the local LP, and they are useless.

I understand you're up in NH and you don't know what it's like in the rest of this country, but the support for freedom around here stinks.  Even those who claim to support it just talk about it.  Getting them to actually do anything is like pulling teeth.  No one will stick their neck out for fear of being the next target.

The local LP is doing a lot. One of those things is to get ballot access, sticking their necks out by going to court on that. They also have many candidates, including one for governor.

Not only do we have the LP trying to get around the 2-party monopoly but...

We have a group that concern themselves with the state legislature and NH's connection to the federal gov't.
We have a group that is watching privacy rights.
We have a group that educates and assists at the town government level.
We have at least 4 groups who watch second amendment rights.

There is just the usual problem of too much to do and not enough people to do it.
Sounds like where you live the problem is apathy.

I have always felt that freedom is not free and even if one is not dedicating their life's work to it, everyone has to be aware of the avenues they can use to maintain freedom or it will be lost.

The examples of groups you gave are reasons why waiting until NH to do activism is far smarter than doing it in one's original state.

Also, I was calling the LP here useless, not the one in NH.  I have no experience with them.

The LPNH is full of douchebaggers. A vice-chair did an illegal background check on me looking for dirt. Then he threatend to sue me for libel after I called him out on it. Then the chair called my house and wanted to talk to me, to pass on a threat that Tim Condon wanted to sue me for libel, and was "ready to go". That was over a year ago.....

We're waiting until we get to NH, that's where the stand needs to be made.  ATC, I look forward to seeing you in NH!

It's sad to say, but I've lost hope for the rest of the country. It seems the only way to fight the IRS is if we mobilize in one state, and I believe that Russell is motivating others to come to NH and start getting active.

And what did YOU do to give them the perception that you had done something wrong?

Dave any news? What happened today?

It wasn't an accusation. It was a question to determine if you are part of the problem or the solution. Try living without a SSN or drivers license. Then pass judgement.

(The president of the FSP once told me that I did enough work to qualify for 1,000 people)

Well, I guess that just makes everything all hunky dory.
