Quoteso, do we either let them know what we intend to do, making it clear we're nonviolent, or do we just take our chances and hope they dont taser us or worse? i simply dont see your point. as the "threat" russell communicated to police was not an threat of overt violence, i still dont see the reason for arrest based on that "threat."

you have no free speech right to disrupt the business being transacted at the IRS office...

the force was Russell deliberately trying to enter the office while the officer was standing in his way and blocking him which led to his arrested.

Quoteyour other point is debatable but, still hypothetical. it's nitpicking, IMO. are you using it simply as hypothetical or are you using it to criticize the actual event? we can never be as perfect in action as we can be in words.

it is way, way, way too early for CD of this nature against the federal government if your goal is to win the citizens of NH to join your non-violent revolution and build a new society.

build the new society you wish voluntarily within the shell of the old and have the citizens rationally choose it as something that is better meeting their needs than what we have now...

thats a grand expectation from a population who re-elected a war criminal. i understand what you're saying, tho. maybe i'm too cynical. i just dont believe that americans consider it important to care about who they elect and what choices they make about government.

QuoteThe point is that the law has been applied in discriminatory fashion.

definitely. is there a way, then, to prepare for these problems? how do we protest in a lawful manner when the law isnt enforced consistently? is there a way to fine-tune the demonstrations? should russell have followed the anecdote you presented, of walking in, asking a dumb question or something, then handing out the flyers, pretending to be unaware of the law?

i contend that his actions were made more valuable by his methods. not less valuable.

Okay.

The point that the IRS office is OUR office is a great one, however the law doesn't see it that way, which is why -- as we live under their system of laws (BTW read Kafka, "The Problem With Our Laws") we have to go to the default category to see if the area has been consistently used for Free Speech purposes.

Let's even go to another hypothetical:

Mr. or Ms. Businessperson walks into the IRS building and knows someone there to whom they are bringing a letter.  Let's say it's closing documents for a refinance (I say this because it very much fits something that I personally did once).

So while Mr. or Ms. Businessperson is allowed to deliver the package, he walks by on the way out and says "You guys should all quit your jobs."

Where's the paddywagon?

Again, there ain't none.

The point is that the law has been applied in discriminatory fashion.

Russell was going to give them a piece of paper with one side equating Bush with Hitler and on the other side a resignation letter to deliver to their bosses and ask them to sign it...

I am sure there are alot of people who on their way out the door say to someone casually as an after thought because they are upset about their situation "you guys should all quit your jobs"...I don't think not arresting this person is arbitrary because there would be no way to establish this is what he/she intended to do prior to entering if they conducted offical business while being there - it might be if it happened repeatedly...

I think the better case could be made that if you came in to transact official business with a shirt on that said the same thing and whether or not you would be allowed in...

how do you expect to be effective within NH then and when do you think they will?

the suspension of habeous corpus?
the cancellation of national elections?
declaration of martial law?
militarization of police functions?

Christopher King

Kat,

No nitpicking intended from my perspective -- just trying to dissect a another dereliction of Justice.

i expect it will require more possibly illegal protests, more vocal protests, and, possibly, some degree of revolution.

QuoteJust a reminder:  while you guys are nitpicking, the US government is continuing to murder and torture innocents.

exactly.

we're dealing with an entirely unconstitutional american government, a CEO instead of a president, who also happens to be a war criminal. these are facts that can be easily distilled from the most elementary reader making cursory reviews of any major newspaper, and these are not new facts.

what will it take for the american people to realize whats going on? i'm not sure. all i know is that it hasnt happened yet.

Didn't Lenin write a book with that Title?

Exactly. And watch what these two CEOs do when they get together:

so his actions were ineffective?

Quoteso his actions were ineffective?

yes. his actions were ineffective. the entire goal of peace and freedom in our day was resting upon the methods and actions of one man, and he failed. it's over. everyone, go home.

Exactly. That's why we expose government abuse in most of our short films, such as this one combining Ohio and NH abuse and disrespect, so that people really know who and what they are working with, be they black, white, Democrat, Indy, Republican or whatever if they are haters we expose them:
