All week I've felt like if I can just keep moving, I can keep one step ahead of dispair;  I miss him so bad.  If I run out of work to do, it'll catch up to me and I'll totally lose my cool.  He's going to come back and find all the long-procrastinated projects done.

Anything I say is just going to sound really lame.

The web is just so impersonal.

I'm here for you. (Way over here. IN South Dakota :( )

Kat: You and Russel are in my prayers. As are the judges and jailers -- that they make the correct decisions.

Keep your chin up.

I've seen your frenetic energy since Monday, and I understood the cause.

I wish I could do more than offer you a long-distance hug. I love you, my sister.

One of my heroes, Neil Peart lyricist and drummer for the band RUSH, wrote these words when he was overcoming terrible tragedy in his life. His daugther, when she went off to college was killed in a car crash, and his wife died less than a year later to cancer, although he says it was a broken heart.

He went through unfathomable grief and lost his way. He set out on his motorcycle and spent 14 months and 55,000 miles on the road trying to find himself again. I read his book "Ghost Rider" about his journey and his recovery.

These lyrics he wrote just reminded me of you, Russell and our voyage into the unknown.

Don't worry Kat, we will all stand in the river and laugh about the ups and downs... I can see us standing beneath the stone arch... it will be a beautiful day and we will all smile.

One Little Victory
RUSH -- Vapor Trails

A certain measure of innocence
Willing to appear naive
A certain degree of imagination
A measure of make-believe

A certain degree of surrender
To the forces of light and heat
A shot of satisfaction
In a willingness to risk defeat

Celebrate the moment
As it turns into one more
Another chance at victory
Another chance to score

The measure of the moment
In a difference of degree
Just one little victory
A spirit breaking free
One little victory
The greatest act can be
One little victory

A certain measure of righteousness
A certain amount of force
A certain degree of determination
Daring on a different course

A certain amount of resistance
To the forces of the light and love
A certain measure of tolerance
A willingness to rise above

Just keep working on projects and things and time will go by faster. I can't really say I know how you feel but I bet it's a terrible thing

Thanks for all the kind words (and funny headlines) guys.   :)

You're both heroes of the freedom movement.

I really hope this is resolved quickly, and things get back to normal.

Kat, I sometimes get a lift out of reading the demotivational posters at Despair.com. This is a spoof on the motivational posters seen in many offices.

"The Night Santa Went Crazy" makes me a little sad.

Kat, I had the honor of meeting both you and Russell briefly at Porcfest this year.  While I know of you both from your deeds,  I don't really know either of you yet.  I hope that will change when I make it to NH.  Both you and Russell are heros in my book.  Your actions have given me hope for the future.  For what it's worth; My thoughts are with you and Russell right now.

Thanks, looking forward to having you in NH  :)

The despair has settled in here. I dreamed of a team of Stern Men and Women in Black entering my home to straighten my family out.
