Myself and a couple of friends are planning on starting up a freedom oriented club at Keene State College this fall. We are wondering if people have suggestions about what we should call ourselves in order to reach out to the most amount of people possible. Keene State Clubs are open to the community which will make it easy for us to do things with the NHfree.com people.

Are there reasons why we should steer either towards or away from having Libertarians in our title?
Can we use the porcupine logo or is it trademarked?

Any suggestions about the club will be welcomed. If people want to talk to us about the club in person we will be at the Keene meeting on Tuesday at 7 pm, and we will be having our meeting afterwards if people are interested in getting involved.

Keene Free in my opinion sounds like you want be rid of keene, like acne-free, but keene free.

I like Keene State Porcupines the best.

Students for Individual Liberty is my vote.  I heard of a school whose libertarian-esque club used that name.

Keene State libertarian Alliance?

I vote for that too.  Whatever the group is called, I see them as being critical in ending the War on Drugs.

Some students at Plymouth are trying to open a NORML chapter

The name of the group on my college campus, which drew me into the whole libertarian/objectivist philosophy, was Students for Free Minds and Free Markets.

I like this one too, of course if you are interested I can offer help with starting a Second Amendment Sisters chapter

Thanks for the helpful input :). It looks like we are going to go with Kat's suggestion of Students for Free Minds and Free Markets. I'll be posting more info about what we'll be doing and how things are going in the near future.

Are you guys going to read Atlas Shrugged as a part of your club?   ;D

Good job... the future is in your hands, create the world you would like to live in.

Just remember to tell your friends at the school how much of a conformist they are - if they are buying socialism/collectivism.  Socialism is based on conformity!  Don't let them think they are rebels if they are conformists.
Help then face the facts.
And, good luck.

Asumeing you are one of the folks I met today, It was truely my pleasure.  You guys ROCK!  Thanks for taking an stand.  You are important.

The KSC group is more than important, they will be critical in freeing Keene.

Yes, it's very exciting to see younger people getting involved.
