The arrow thing reminded me of a gal running for office here 2 years ago ... We had a ton of out-of-state union folks working against her (and her party) and each time as they (rudely) crowded her (in front of where people had come to vote, she would (calmly) "give them space" and move to the end of their hostility . . . She held a sign with an arrow (pointing towards them.)
Her sign said, "[arrow] From Mass."  It was very funny to watch.
