Remember Russell, sidewalks are for the "common" passage of "common" folks. Inside the IRS is a space reserved for the "uncommon" administration of tyranny.

If you don't like the way we're driving the country into the ground, stay off the sidewalk.

I'll go out again this thursday, 2/15 and hold a sign for Ed Brown.

Hallo all, first time posting.

I'm from Tennessee, a Libertarian (anarchist at heart) and a supporter of Ed Brown. I spoke with David Ridley today about making signs for demonstrations. I have access to a government funded colour laser printer, that can print up to 2.5/3 feet x (as long as you have paper) signs. We've used it to put out publications in support of a America: Freedom to Fascism showing. The paper could then be mounted on poster board.

I've already discussed remaking some of the signs that are being used currently.

As well, I do not require cutting letters out, as I can space at will digitally.

Be glad to help and cover shipping cost. Or, I'll just bring them up there over spring break.

Viva la resistance,

Tyler

Which government? On the one hand I want to say thanks for making large signs. On the other hand I want to say shame on you for using taxpayer money to do it. :-\

TylerM

State of Tennessee, financed by the lottery. It's a public community college.

I see it as reclaiming the money they took from us, to pay to bring them down. It's a vicious cycle, yes. But, these are extraordinary circumstances.

I saw Dave protesting in front of the IRS office in Nashua today. My coworker was amused.

Dear Tyler,

It is a tough call.  On the one hand, the money has already been taken from the private sector.  Since it was taken by running a lottery on monopolistic terms rather than allowing free market competition, it is slightly less evil than the taking of tax dollars.  But, as someone previously (falsely) accused of illegal gambling promotion of a lottery, I can tell you that enforcement is used to limit competition.

In addition to large format signs, you could make a very long banner that two or three people could hold up.  Interesting idea.  Ship it in one long scroll.

Since I am not presently in Keene, it would not be my call.  Perhaps at some point the good folks at Sovereigns of the High Frontier Society http://www.hisovs.org/ might be in contact about signage, if you are open to supporting such.  Meanwhile, it is worth further contemplation.

Definitely, what you propose is one of those edge cases where the ethical purity is missing, and the balance has to be weighed carefully.  Of course, the edge cases are the ones which have the potential to teach us more about our ethics.

Regards,

Jim

Oh yeah, I forgot Tennessee has a lottery now, not to mention some of the highest sales taxes in the country. And now those morons are talking about an income tax, too! If you've got any sense, get the hell out while the gettin's good.

Thank you Tyler, that's a kind offer.  Would we send you paper for it, or just cover the cost?  We'll have to think on what we'd like signs to say.  Posterboard to put them on is easy :)

I should say this, I'm not doing anything that is against the rules by using this printer, per s?. That of course is they are not aware of what we are printing. It does open up interesting debates, however I think it could be equated to raiding an ammo cashes (our weapons are words, right?) during a rebellion. Yes, the people pay for them, but should they be used against them, or for them?

Eh, a shaky analogy, but that's my justification for it.

On the topic of Tennessee... Gah, it's pretty bad, sales tax is almost 10% and yes they want an income tax. And I live in the county that has the highest property tax (and is the poorest. Coincidence?) in the state. Should I mention that the county commissioner is an authoritative democrat, who vocally complained about my Libertarian bumper stickers to my boss (with the remark, "why would you have someone like that working for you?")? I work at the Municipal Airport, and deal with the government every day. It just helps fuel my anarcho-capitalist leanings.

Ja, I am moving to New Hampshire as soon as I finish my BA (in International Business).

Okay, back on topic! Sorry.

No cost for production and we'll cover any shipping charges from this end. Anything to help out the resistance. :)
