As you all know, the police just won a big case here that lets them seize private property and not return it even when courts determine it wasn't a crime to posess or produce it. I'm thinking that we need something similar to our Lost Liberty Hotel and Constitution Park proposals to go after the cops on this. Does anybody have any ideas?

mike, if you like, just schedule a demonstration.  Use the calendar here.  I think it should be in front of the original perps' offices, whoever they are.  but we could also do it at any busy intersection or -hmmm.... in front of the victim's business? that would at least give him free PR.   he hasn't called me back however. It was the state that charged the guy, if I recall but I'm not sure.

also you could just hold a sign and walk alone into the bad guys' their offices; that has worked well for me.   no organization required.   Maybe a supreme court justice would be the right "target"?

A couple cases like that have happened in NH recently.

Hmmm, yeah. I've got a case that will likely be getting appealed to the state supreme court this week.... as you know, I'm a bit limited in my ability to get around these days.

One possibility would be to look at the visors / interiors of civilian cars (for items in "plain view") parked in the police station lot (if there is one), looking for homemade CDs, and then going inside and asking the chief to seize the CDs from his officers' / employees' cars.

I'd do it, but I don't live in NH, yet.

The hold-up is: I would like to be licensed to practice law in NH before I move, so that I can arrive employable (and possibly even employed), and not end up joining the FLP in Taxachussetts, instead.
