also which is the spot we are aiming for?  the one with the R?

Yes--the spot marked "R" lies the party. The whole "road" is basically ours as there are only two people who live on it, and the neighbors are invited. We have permission to park in their driveways as well. If push comes to shove, people can park and take up the whole road but it probably won't come to that unless 100+ people show up!

Also note that because of Otis, this will likely not be kid friendly.

I take it Otis is a large dog or a small mountain lion(?) 9 year olds OK?

Would you call Deerifield "Merrimack Valley" or "Seacoast"?

'tween?

Its about 15-20 minutes to Concord, 20-25 minutes to Manchester, maybe 40 minutes to Hampton Beach.

Otis is a border collie/husky mix. When we were living on the beach, he was snapping at children. This always happened when he was on a leash, and the kids were "violating his personal space"; but I wouldn't bet on him being friendly to kids when he's loose and able to flee.

Since the kennel isn't done yet (it was supposed to be) he will likely be running around free.

I also offered Rochelle a ride a week ago, so she has her choice of transport to the Meet N' Greet.

Rochelle

Hey,
sorry, I misplaced this thread for a while :P
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I'll have a ride up there..there's supposed to be another person moving in today who's planning on going and we're going to head up there together. We're not 100% where it is, but between the both of us, we'll either get really lost or get there  :D

So, he herds the children into a circle before eating them?  ;)

John

Great Party (thanks guys)!  Is it just me, or does it seem like we have more new porcupine arivals every time you turn around?
News media at a party?
Party went til after 5.   :o  More news after some rest.  ;D

Nikiya

Awesome party guys, I wish I could have stayed longer.  I've only been here a month and this is the 3rd Meet-N-Greet I've been to, and I actually had to parties to go to last night (2nd one was non-FSP related).  Keep meeting tons of nice people at these gatherings.  John it was great seeing you again.  Once again I had a really good time last night, thank you for having me.

You'll be needing a New Hampshire Atlas.  I have them for sale for $15.00 postpaid.  $5.00 goes to the Liberty Scholarship Fund.

Thanks all for coming!
More thanks to Mike and Geanina for cooking the pizzas.

Otis seems to be doing well, if a little tired yet. He has already been out hunting frogs this morning.

The reporter and photographer (Time Magazine) seemed like good guys. They said they'll alert us when/if anything gets published.

Russell Kanning

So .... did you guys all have fun?
How many people were there? Where there really no kids there?

John

Realy nice pizza!

Ron, You mention Otis hunting frogs which reminds me; my picturs did not come out very well (got of few of Otis "hunting") I'll send them to you later - hoping that you might post one or two here . . .

John

Lots of big kids.  ;D
The usual suspects - and then, some new ones.   8)
