Winter Tires

I've used all season tires on both SUVs I've owned.  With 4WD they never got stuck, but when the 4WD broke on the Blazer, I couldn't get out of anything.  If your car has AWD or 4WD you should be set with all season tires.

See if you can prepay for the winter so they don't raise the price on you. Last year I got in at 1.49
This year it's more like 2.34

I know someone who just prepaid and now the 'regular' price is lower.
