Mark is "bored".

I swear, sometimes he's like teenager.  My poor co-host Mark is already bored with Keene.  He claims there is nothing to do.  Julia and I say there are 25,000 + people in the area and there must be something going on he'd be interested in.  He wants karaoke.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what Mark should do in Keene after 10pm ET?

Post things on NHFree, of course!

He's someone who likes to go out.  Don't think the indoor life holds too much appeal for him.

(count me in on the curiosity -- I'm slowly community shopping, and the variety of ways to destroy my free time is a consideration)

Our housewarming party will be going well past 10pm, most likely. Deerfield is a haul from Keene, but it would be worth it. Dave Mincin's fundraising dinner is happening the night before, 7 miles away, and we've offered up our land to camp on for those who want to hit both events.

Yeah, picking up a copy of the Hippo is very good advice.
Manch-Vegas seems like a Mark kinda town, to me....

And he should be posting here hisself, dammit!!!

When my friend was a little girl and told her mother she was bored, her mother replied "Only stupid people get bored."  That's a little harsh but gimme a break, Mark.   You've got a whole beautiful state to explore.  ::)

There are a few of us who do karaoke semi-frequently in Manchester... probably not this week with all the stuff that's going on this weekend.  MASSCANN is Saturday in Boston, then I'm doing NASCAR Sunday.  All the new folks should consider volunteering to help at the NASCAR race and raise money for the NHLA (and/or CNHT).

Hmmm.  Something tells me this to will change.

Would he be interested in contra dancing?

Mark, what did you do for fun in Fla.?  With the exception of beaches, Keene must have simular versions of things that were there. The area has some things that Fla does not, like hills.
If I were his age I wold be over at Keene State, trolling.

Mark could start karaoke at a local bar. I bet if he wants it others would too.

One day he might be known as Keene's Karaoke King... (or maybe not)  ;D

How could there not be a Karoke bar,or, at least, Karoke nights somewhere around Keene?

Tom Sawyer

Karaoke Nights... sounds like a movie title.
or
Karaoke Knights... now that would be funny.

I said a while back that I thought Keene was perfect for Ian, but Mark would like Manchester more. Maybe buy a place in Hillsboro, halfway in between? What about just moving to Manchester, and hosting the show over IP, which could allow Torgo, Johnson, and Jason back on? Since Ian handles breaks and callers, time lag might not be a problem.
