OK!  Sunday after litter clean-up.

The days are longer now, more time for outdoor fun!

Clarification:

What:   Barn Raising party
Who:    Anyone wanting to build or offer encouragement to the builders
When:  Sunday April 29 after the litter clean up in Peterborough.
Start:   About 2pm
End:     When the beer runs out

Tom Sawyer

Lots of choices for folks... I'll come help ya'll after the road clean-up. I bet Jon will have lots of folks helping and with gas prices I'd rather not make the trip.

Lloyd Danforth

I too,  would guess Jon will get all the help he will need from people in the valley.

Kat Kanning

I was thinking that since I'm not much for heavy labor right now, maybe I could make food for everyone.  Any requests?

TackleTheWorld

What ever food you HATE so it wont make your stomach growl.

Kat Kanning

Heh :)  It actually doesn't bother me.  I'm not hungry.

Kat Kanning

OK, Kira chose the menu:  homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade bread

Kat Kanning

I would think we could be back at Jim and Lauren's by noon.

TackleTheWorld

Soup and bread, Yum.

Maybe we'll need a bonfire to keep Kat warm.

Good turnout today.

Made some good progress... we had a pro come across the state to show us the efficient way to do things.  :) 8)

Kids, good food, lots of laughs and camaraderie into the evening. All and all a worthwhile day.  :)

Pat K

Yep great seeing every one (wish Russell was there )

I must report though that Sticky Bun are indeed
a problem for some folks who will remain=oh hell its Roger
and I don't think he can be saved!

TackleTheWorld

I counted 21 people helping with the barn yesterday
A most grateful thanks to them.

We got the second corner framed, wood stacked, shelves built, 240V receptacle installed.
Kat brought home-made bread and chicken soup with slabatoni noodles... Ummm.
Kathleen and Kira babysat Avery, world's happiest baby.
Don  and Mike & Megan from NY drug did the heavy work dragging logs out of the woods.
It was great to see the young'uns from Keene.  Especially when David ran to the store to get a new sawblade.
The old guys and one politician did the second-story work.

I must have missed some activities, what else happened?

Oh yeah, William made a raft.
Pat K drove all the way home without falling asleep, thank goodness.

What else?

Kat Kanning

Lloyd cut a lot of boards and PatK caught the sawdust.
