Why does noone ever use the chat

Room set up on this site? Wouldnt it be cool to hang around and maybe just maybe after a few weeks people will having idled in there decide BOOM we can have a chat meeting anytime because theres always people in there. hehehe just a thought

I think of it often, but I can never find it!  There should just be a button that says "CHAT" or something.  Somewhere there's a thread with a link to it, but with no way to bookmark threads... I can never find it. 

Does anyone want to repost the link here?

I was thinking that maybe another solution would be to use a system like yahoo messenger.
We can see each other online that way and it is quicker than our current chat system.

Use it, how?  Keep a list of cross-referenced user names?  Or is there a way to embed it into the site, somehow?

I can see when other users are online with yahoo etc. ..... we could also set up chat rooms inside those kinds of services

You could start a thread.  "What's your Yahoo Instant Messenger ID?"

I like the idea of a messenger like system where we could see who is online. I like googles chat/e-mail you can see other google users that you previously sent e-mail to that are online before sending a e-mail.
