700 Marijuana Plants Found In Hooksett Basement
(CBS4) HOOKSETT, N.H. New Hampshire police and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration made what is thought to be one of the largest drug seizures in state history when they recovered 700 marijuana plants from a house after firefighters extinguished an electrical fire in a Hooksett home on Saturday.

Firefighters were called by neighbors to battle an electrical fire on the outside of a house and found a basement full of marijuana plants inside the house when they checked for damages.

As firefighters arrived around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, they saw a man flee the Evelyn Street house in a car, police said. After fire crews put out a blaze that started at the electric meter, they checked the house for damage and found the indoor pot farm.

State and local police and federal Drug Enforcement Administration obtained a search warrant and entered the home Saturday night. They found about 700 marijuana plants being grown in a sophisticated hydroponic greenhouse.

Local police said it was one of the largest drug seizures in state history.

No one had been arrested by early Sunday afternoon. Police were trying to locate the homeowner.

Yet another reason to go off-grid. No electric meters to catch fire when they spin too fast.

The real problem, though, is people being persecuted by the police and the DEA for doing absolutely nothing wrong. >:(

My guess is they were bypassing the meter.

Hm, well, that's a crime.

The cops should go after these guys for their fraud -- AFTER they've caught all the murderers, rapists, armed robbers, etc...

Sadly, the war on drugs leads to many laws being broken, many things that would never have been done if it was not for the war on drugs...

They were probably afraid of high electric bills giving them away.

Speaking of which...

According to rumor and hearsay, a State Rep, who happens to be Chairman of the Criminal Justice Committee, is ready & willing to sponsor a "Personal-Use Legalization" bill in NH this legislative session.
Critically, he needs to hear from his constituents, specifically, anyone from any of the following cities:

Rockingham county:
District 8 ( Hampstead, Kingston, Plaistow)

If you know anyone friendly that lives in the above towns, or if you do, please email me, or just contact your State Rep.

This is URGENT!! LSRs (prospective bills) must be filed NO LATER THAN NOV 15th -- you get just ONE WEEK after the election to meet your Rep, and ask him to sponsor a bill!

Thanks...

Have 'some' electric heat installed and let the power provider know, should you need to upgrade the service.
Then, never use the heat.

I have a few video guides to growing, and for personal use, it's a really simple deal. Set-up, and ordering seeds online (they are often sold from British web sites because seeds are legal in England IIRC)... all very simple stuff.

firecracker joe

its always the stupid shit that gets you busted!!!!!!!!!

if you are going to do it large scale, why not just buy a generator?

^  Cuz a lot of people are dumb.  While I don't support the War on Drugs, if you're gonna break the law, at least be smart about it...
