I felt woefully stupid, so I decided to get a higher education. Is that a good enough reason? 

Ya don't need formal education to be smart, just a friend willing to take the intellectual plunge with you.

I also need a degree for my plan... 

Okay . . . college will definitely hand you a diploma.  But, did you know that I, at the tender age of 21, can officially be referred to as "Dr. Braddogg"?  I "earned" an honorary doctorate in theology from the Universal Life Church monastery in California.

Only about 30% of what they're trying to teach me is worthless or potentially intellectually harmful... so far.

Give it time . . . .
