I figured this would be the most appropriate forum to post this in.  Hello everyone, I'm Chris :)  I'm a Jersey boy born and raised, lived on the shore my entire life...up until recently that is.  I currently reside in Lisbon NH, and so far I'm loving the area.  I only have one question, who wants to come hang out with me??  ;D   For real though, I've been up here awhile now...and I'm struggling to get my business off the ground.  I'm a computer technician, and I own my own business fixing and building PC's.  umm...i suppose that's a pretty good introduction of myself.  I hope that I can contribute to this board, I've been reading it for a couple weeks now and really like some of the things people have been saying and talking about.  It is unfortunate however that most of the people I've seen live down in southern NH  :-\  oh well...

Thanks for reading!

(p.s.- first forum post with firefox 2.0, my spelling and capitalization isn't usually this good...spell checker is my friend ;))

Hello Chris,

Don't be shy around here. We like to meet new people. Chime in whenever you want and before you know it we will "know" you. The calendar is chock full of activities for you to come meet us. Or add your own event and we may come to you. This freedom thing is not by invitation only.

Welcome, Chris!

How long have you been in Lisbon? Are you an FSP member or supporter? If so, please sign the First 1000 pledge!

Welcome :)  Wow, you're way up there!  I'm sorry I don't know anyone else living that far North to hook you up with.

KBCraig:
I've been in Lisbon about a year.  So sure I'll give this thing a shot and sign up for it.

Quantrill:
Agreed, I'm almost surprised to see such a warm response to my introduction...but it's NH, you can't check your mailbox without someone waving at you (even up here in the boonies)

aries:
Twin is very nice, always going out there for the DMV...and on my way to North Conway.

DadaOrwell:
Thank you!  And I do laptop work, hardware and software.  But the farthest I've traveled for work at this point is Lebanon/Plainfield.

Dreepa:
Thanks.  I was looking over that site, and I'm still not quite sure how it works...but will keep reading :)

Kat Kanning:
Thank you.  And it's all right, I've found a couple people.  Plus turning 21 in a couple months will help (bars, clubs(if the exist, lol), etc.) with meeting people.

Again thanks everyone!  And might I add...JEEZE O PETE'S IT'S COLD ALREADY, gonna be 20 in a couple nights :)  I personally can't wait for snow.

Aren't DC and Candy in Bath, or thereabouts?

Braddogg

I'm looking forward to the snow too!  I'm a college student living on campus in Boston, so I don't even have to worry about driving, and the campus looks so beautiful after that first real snow fall.

How do you like Firefox 2.0?  I'm running some update of 1.0.

kindernacht

The snow is beautiful in general... at least IMO.  Mt. Washington is already capped...went out to Sugar Hill and got some good pictures yesterday.

And so far so good with firefox 2.0.  It's really stable, and the GUI improvements make it much easier to use...but only if you're looking for the specific things that have changed.  Otherwise it's not much different than 1.5, the REALLY big change won't be until 3.0.  But in the mean time 2.0 makes browsing a dream :)

No Problem.  basically it says you will move to NH before 2008 and you want to fight towards liberty.
If you have question fire away.

KB is going to be happy to hear from the 'Northerners' ;D
